Borage (also Burrage, Bugloss) 04 Oct, Chris (Australia - temperate climate)
Some people eat the young leaves. I think they're reasonably safe in small quantities. I grow it for the flowers and let chickens enjoy the leaves.

They generally give other names in the heading. Jam Plant.
Rosella (also Queensland Jam Plant, Roselle) 24 Nov, Maree (Australia - tropical climate)
Rosella is a shrub that is prolific in tropical gardens in Australia. The red flowers are usually used in making jam but I think you could make a nice cordial out of it. But you need a lot of flowers.

How often to water
Kohlrabi 14 Sep, Allan (New Zealand - cool/mountain climate)
I direct sewed 15 Mar 24. The seed came up really quickly and I progressively thinned. They should have been ready in 60 days but they reached winter and never formed a bulb. Now its spring and whilst there is a little swelling at the base the plants are actually going to seed. Ive been using the tops and leaves in casseroles. Not sure why they never formed the bulb, possibly overcrowding??

Sage (also Common Sage) 09 Sep, Kailee (USA - Zone 5a climate)
I have a garden indoors. With grow lights. How will that affect sage growth? I have killed one plant outdoors because of the watering cycle, and I need to know how to grow this plant indoors. Because I'm more active with my indoor plants. And I have a plant that someone in my family didn't water for 3 weeks, I'm trying to save it. Does anyone have any answers on how I should encourage its growth again?

where CAN I BUY YCON SEEDS PLEASE
Yacon (also Sunroot) 31 Oct, John (Australia - sub-tropical climate)
Yacon grows from its tuber like a sweet potato. You can buy Yacon plants at Daley's nursery online, they are popular though so if you see them in stock you better grab them. I missed two years in a row, but I finally got some this year!
Luffa (also Loofah, plant sponge) 03 Sep, Jim Wolff (USA - Zone 10b climate)
I love to eat the young fruit when they are about 1" to 1.5" in diameter. But after that, let them grow until they turn completely brown on the vine. Then pick the brown (dried) fruit and soak in water a couple of minutes. The skin will peel off very easily after it has been soaked. If you do not soak them first, the skin will be more difficult to get off.
Garlic 03 Sep, Arla (USA - Zone 10b climate)
I planted my garlic cloves in July. In Southern California I know that's probably not the right time to plant them, but it doesn't get cold here. They've already started shooting out green shoots, and I'm not sure if I should leave it just keep growing or if I should cut those shoots off to stop it from growing for now. I'm assuming I should not harvest it until like next spring. Can you offer advice on what I should do now to keep the garlic growing so that I can harvest it next spring. I'd appreciate anybody's help. Thank you
