Onion 10 Jan, Maurice (Australia - temperate climate)
Most onions are biennial, they flower and die in the second year. With yours I say leave them where they are, let the flower, collect the hundreds of seeds they produce and plant them. We grow a lot of perennial onions like tree onions and potato onions. We got them through the post from mudflower blogspot. They have a lot of perennial vegetables which are much simpler to grow than the regular types.

Unsure what you have in your no dig, but used some manured soils, first time I did it , and was advised not to plants spuds in the same spot Now do it in bags, maybe a horticulturist could give you advise.

Possums will eat anything that humans eat. In other words, possums have a very healthy diet.

Hi everyone, I was also in the same situation searching for horseradish. I stay near Durbs, but on holiday in Cape Town. Walked into a shop/nursery called Staark Ayres, spoke to a lady called Channon, very helpful who within 2 days had one for me! So contact the company perhaps they can help you.......they had at least 3 plants there yesterday! Happy horseradish hunting! Jeanie

Broccoli 07 Oct, Michael (Australia - temperate climate)
I have Baby Broccoli and B Cauli, and Broccoli in situ presently, all doing well. I planted them about 8 - 10 weeks ago. There is no sign of them "heading up" yet, but they have become very leafy, depriving other veges of light/heat. Is one able to prune this leafy foliage without it affecting their progress, or should they simply be left alone?

Hi there! Have been given one cape gooseberry fruit to enable me to grow from seed. My question is...ought I to wait till the yellow fruit dries totally before putting into soil or can I simply put the whole fruit into a plant pot and hope for the best??? I am keen to get it underway???
