When is the best time to plant burdock?

I just harvested and ate the burdock ( gobo) I planted earlier this year. I'd like to plant more seeds. Any advice? Do I need to wait for the temperature to cool down a bit? In case you are wondering, all of it ended up as kinpira. It was devoured immediately. It was far too yummy.

I have sourced many different herbs from this company - The Seed Collection. Look it up because I can't post links due to spam. They are ethical, organic, non GMO and very helpful. They also have a Facebook site. I have 8 about to plant out :)

Do you have any information on growing Burdock in the same bed year after year? Apparently a parasitic worms (maybe Nematodes??) stop you growing a successful crop the following year. If this is true, is there a natural practice that can combat this?

would be wonderful if only i could access seeds. considering i'm apparently living in the 'hippy capital' of Australia, finding it a little frustrating that i can't locate any. CAN ANYONE HELP? poor student, but will offer minimal payment for good seed.
