You will find that there are less leaves after flowering but they are still useable
Daikon (also Japanese radish, Lo Bok) 21 Jun, Céline (Canada - zone 4a Temperate Warm Summer climate)
Is it normal for the daikon radish to be flowering now? Do I leave it until Fall, or harvest now. They are still quite small.
Yacon (also Sunroot) 12 May, Rog (USA - Zone 6b climate)
WOW! THis will grow anywhere it seems. So many places that it's confusing. How to grow, and regrow, in Central New Jersey USA? 6B?
Yacon (also Sunroot) 13 May, Chris (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
You keep some of the smaller brown offset tubers and use them to regrow each year. You can just eat all the big tubers.

I have grown chicory, endive and radicchio very sucessfully in NW Ontario. My problem is I can not locate a source to purchase seeds for various kinds of them. Are you aware of a company which meets my request but can be purchased on line. I have gone on line but the companies only provide very limited varieties.

Basil 02 Jul, Ed (Canada - Zone 4b Temperate Warm Summer climate)
How do I stop my basil from just drying up. It is in a pot, on the deck exposed to moderate sun. Deck faces south.
Basil 19 Mar, (Canada - Zone 6a Temperate Warm Summer climate)
Basil doesn't really like full sun. Move it so it only gets the sun in the afternoon and ensure you only water the soil of the plant.

I have a large terra-cotta pot filled with Rosemary. Can I leave it in the pot next to the garage, facing south for the winter? Should I take the plants out and plant them in the same location? Our soil here near New Liseard, Ont. is sandy. Not allowed to take plants back to U.S. Thanks, E

Cabbage 03 Sep, Eugene Plachta (Canada - Zone 5b Temperate Warm Summer climate)
What variety would you recommend for this (Okanagan) region as I have tried a couple types and am not having a good turnout. First problem was splitting heads, then in the next year the plants were turning yellow and basically died. The soil is reasonably rich and I had planted in the same place where I grew the previous variety which were healthy but had split almost every head. And of course I do have the bug problem too.
Beans - climbing (also Pole beans, Runner beans, Scarlet Runners) 09 Aug, (Canada - Zone 5a Temperate Warm Summer climate)
My Runner Beans look beautiful. Sadly I have only had a few beans and the little ones are withering away or are just little tiny stalks. The leaves have holes in them. I have captured two insects. One looking like an elongated Ladybug is brownish with black Spots and the other a reddish brown with spots. One almost triangular shaped beetle.hard as nails, brown on top and green underneath. Could it be humming birds eating the flowers? Any help with this would be appreciated. I live in Ontario Canada
