Water with seaweed solution this week, next week gogo juice and continue for a few weeks. I would apply one or two applications of liquid calcium to the seedlings and soil also.

It's not really worth the effort. They should grow, but will form very small bulbs.
Strawberry Plants 25 Jul, isabella (Australia - temperate climate)
Gypsum does work but it is not instant. I prepare a new area I want to plant with lots of gypsum six months before I want to plant it up. Then at 3 months before I dig it again and add really rich good compost. Finally when it comes time to plant I did it again and then plant. My garden gets lots of positive comments. Do no buy "doctored" gypsum where sand has been added. You can tell later if it has had sand added as the gypsum and the sand join together to make hard unusable lumps. The gypsum you buy should be 99 per cent all gypsum.
Strawberry Plants 25 Jul, isabella (Australia - temperate climate)
I have added lots of gypsum and some Iron chelates to my heavy clay soil and the strawberries seem to like it.

Sweet corn (also corn, maize) 24 Jul, Ritshep (South Africa - Dry summer sub-tropical climate)
Dear Sir, i have planted papaya trees in my yard. They are organic & flourishing very well . People got amazed when they see our papayas, they look different from south african pawpaws. They are very sweet & juicy, have also smaller trees growing. I also planted brocolli, lettuce, carrots & spinash. My challenge is not having enough space to grow all these bcos am now planning to plant sweetcorn, watermelon, spanspek or canrteloupe & pumpkin. I need mentorship & somyeone who can help with a land to lease or make partnership to expand business. Your advice & help will be much appreciated.

Snow Peas (also Sugar Peas, Mangetout, Chinese Peas) 19 Jul, Edna Sabile (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
I'm at Southern Highlands at Marulan, our temperature here is very cold always below 4 degree centigrade and a lot of times is minus below zero. I did not plant anything for the last 3 months because I'm worried with frost. Can really any of those plants suggested for those months survive the frost? Frost came so early as early as May so all my plants died. I want to start planting as suggested like onions, lettuce this month or next? What else i can plant?
Snow Peas (also Sugar Peas, Mangetout, Chinese Peas) 09 Sep, sandra (Australia - temperate climate)
I'm in branxton hunter valley and we get frost tho not as cold as marulan and plant snow peas all through winter :)
Broad Beans (also Fava bean) 29 Jul, Gerrie (Australia - cool/mountain climate)
I am a rookie gardener in Canberra. My winter garden is going well. Silverbeet, kale and cabbages are thriving. Root vegs (radishes and beets) producing too much foliage but not enough root so I'll switch from fertilising with my worm juice and seasol mix and add some potash to reduce the nitrogen part of the NPK ratio. Had good green manure crops (trying to improve the Canberra compacted clay soil). Planted three broadbean (faba) varieties which are still small (20cm) but growing fast. I remembered to add a bit of lime to the soil. Tried a "three sisters" (corn, beans, pumpkins) planting. Planted the corn too late (should have at least a four-week head start on the climbing beans) and got a zero pumpkin crop so I preparing plenty of bee-attracting flowers for my next attempt this spring. BTW I've invested in a cheap large (3.6x1.9m) greenhouse which is now full of small seedlings so that I can get a head start this spring. We have a short growing season here. The greenhouse will change to a shade-house in summer - last summer almost none of our seeds germinated in the harsh Canberra sun. Will keep trying and hopefully learn from my mistakes.
Broad Beans (also Fava bean) 14 Apr, Steve (Australia - temperate climate)
If you want pumpkins to set ,just hand pollinate by picking male flower ,cutting back petals and place in female flower for a few seconds and shake gently .This is the only way I have had success in my garden with pumpkins.
Ginger 19 Jul, Robyn (Australia - sub-tropical climate)
Can I leave my ginger in the ground or should I harvest it? This is the first year.
